– Saturday Night Live – SNL (@nbcsnl) March 28, 2021

Bowen Yang is one of the funniest performers Saturday night live has seen the seasons, but on March 27th it took on a more serious tone to address mounting racism and hate crimes against Asian Americans. Yang joined Colin Jost and Michael Che on the Weekend Update, jokingly as “Asian Cast Member” on the series – and admitted that he gave Jost the title. Jokes aside, however, Yang’s segment focused on the resilience of the AAPI community and how people have to do “more” than absolutely necessary to support them.

“If someone’s personality beats Asian grandmas, it’s not dialogue. I have an Asian grandma – you want to hit her, there is nothing in common, mom,” said Yang, referring to San Francisco resident, 75-year-old Xiao Zhen Xie. “I see my friends donating, and that’s great, but then I tell them do more. You order in Chinese restaurants? Great. Do more. Let me know when you feed your white chicken feet. You have meanwhile cried Threatening? Congratulation. I sobbed into my boner for Steven Yeun. Do more. “

He continued, “So why are you telling me you gave your manicurist a good tip? Let me know if you get on your knees and scrub her feet while she looks at your cell phone. Do more.” Yang admitted that as a comedian he “doesn’t have all the answers,” but he knows he’ll find them by looking further than an Instagram post. “I’m not just looking for them online. I look around. The GoFundMe for Xiao Zhen Xie, the grandmother who fought back against her attacker, raised $ 900,000 which she immediately returned to the community. There we are as Asians. Now come and meet us there. “

Watch Regé-Jean Web page’s “Drivers License” Skit on SNL

This is all of us when the driver’s license appears on pic.twitter.com/kwFzd6Vgsp

– Saturday Night Live – SNL (@nbcsnl) February 21, 2021

It was only a matter of time before Saturday night live parodied Olivia Rodrigo’s hit “Drivers License” and we’re so glad they chose it when Regé-Jean Page made his hosting debut on February 20th. Not only did the Duke of Hastings bless us by breaking into songs (TBH, we could listen to him sing forever) but the best part of it could have been when he and that SNL The cast took turns analyzing the lyrics. In fact, the sketch was so good that Rodrigo himself couldn’t help but tweet: “DRIVERS LICENSE SNL SKETCH IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY THAT IS SHAKING EVERY TIME.” Rodrigo celebrated her 18th birthday on Saturday. What could be nicer than singing Page with the title “Drivers License”?

Eugene Levy has a long list of prominent roles on his Hollywood resume, but on February 6th he played the role of Proud Father. His son Dan Levy was the host Saturday night live For the first time, and when Eugene didn’t make a surprise monologue cameo, he stood in the wings cheering Dan. Dan also had behind-the-scenes support from his mother, Deborah Divine. Well, after all these years, I just did 7 words to say, ‘Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!’ “Whether Dan is up Schitt’s Creek or in real life it is clear that his family will always be by his side. See John Krasinski Put Phrases to The Workplace Theme Music on SNL

This was the original @ theofficetv theme song. Don’t ask questions. pic.twitter.com/GENJfBjGks

– Saturday Night Live – SNL (@nbcsnl) January 31, 2021

Everyone knows the well-known melody of The officeJohn Krasinski decided to give it a little more flair even though he’s already an icon. In a sketch for the January 30th episode of the SNL episode, John, who served as the host, remixed the theme song and added a series of funny “lyrics” in the form of observations to the clips that appear in the show’s opening credits.

“Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton”, he begins the “long lost lyrics” of the song to the rhythm of the music. “That’s where we all live and work – that’s a calculator. There’s Dwight, he’s the bad guy, and the hero’s name is Jim!”

There’s more to it, and while it’s extremely catchy, it’s definitely better to hear than read. Listen to the entire “original” The office Theme song as written and performed by John Krasinski in the clip above (and don’t miss his opening monologue which included a very memorable kiss).

SNL: Watch Timothée Chalamet Sing to a Tiny Horse | Video

❤️ Little horse pic.twitter.com/S3ftPV234B

– Saturday Night Live – SNL (@nbcsnl) December 13, 2020

Who would have thought that Timothée Chalamet could sing? We already knew he could act, rap and play the piano, but during his hosting stay Saturday night live On December 12th, he showed his vocal skills in a sketch of a tiny horse. As the son of a family in tough times on a farm, Chalamet realizes he has to sell his best friend and what follows is one of the best uses of claymation we think we’ve ever seen. Chalamet really puts his heart and soul into “Tiny Horse” and we would be lying if we said it doesn’t tear our hearts. On the other hand, one of the funniest things we’ve seen in a while is watching Chalamet yell at a tiny horse struggling to escape because of its tiny legs. You can check out the full clip above for lyrics like “There he is, my little horse” stuck on your head for the foreseeable future.
