Annie Murphy Imitates Alexis Rose With Jimmy Fallon | Video

Annie Murphy may be in the thick of promoting her new show, Kevin Can F**ck Himself, but she can still snap back into character as Schitt’s Creek‘s Alexis Rose at the drop of a hat. The lovable Canadian actress did just that during an appearance on The Tonight Show on Wednesday evening, and it made us yearn for the Rose family’s onscreen shenanigans more than ever.

After playing a hilarious game of True Confessions, during which she admitted to licking Chris Martin’s sweat off her hand (yes, really), Annie and host Jimmy Fallon took a mini walk down memory lane to reflect on Schitt’s Creek. To the surprise of no one, Annie said fans of the award-winning sitcom regularly yell, “Ew, David!” at her in public, despite the fact that Alexis only utters the phrase a few times throughout the entire series. This revelation led her to briefly slip into character — vocal fry, T-rex-like hand gesture, and all — to say, “Ugh, David!” and “Why, David?!” which made Jimmy and the whole crowd lose their Schitt. Walter Mondale, Ex-Vice President Under Jimmy Carter, Dies

One of his proudest legislative accomplishments, he said, was his leadership role in making it easier for the Senate to cut off a filibuster with 60 votes due to a rule change instead of a two-thirds vote as it was previously required. In the 1970s, Mr. Mondale’s name was on the list of possible candidates for national office. He dutifully wrote a campaign book entitled “The Accountability of Power: Towards a Responsible Presidency” (1975), in which he criticized the “Imperial Presidency” of Richard M. Mr. Gamonet was prolific, creating several ballets each season. He described himself as a neoclassical choreographer who was indebted to Balanchine, but also to the theatrics of his parents. His offer ranged from remakes of Spanish classics such as “Paquita” and “Carmen” to original pieces by Bach and swing music in “Big Band Supermegatroid”.

In a 1989 Washington Post review, Alan M. Kriegsman wrote that Mr. Gamonet’s works showed “a talent full of flair and flavor and an instinctive sense of dance rhetoric, but also, not unexpectedly, some compositional flaws and immaturity. ”

Music always came first for Mr. Gamonet, with careful study of the score. “Two in the morning,” recalled Mr. Mursuli, “and he would still be preparing and making notes on the score with his headphones on.”

Ballerina Iliana Lopez, who played many roles in Mr. Gamonet’s plays for Miami City, said, “He came with the choreography in mind,” adding, “He made me feel beautiful and free in his work, and not every choreographer can do that. “

During rehearsal and classes, Mr. Gamonet was often weird, nicknamed everyone, but he expected the dancers to work as hard as he did. “He always said, ‘Nobody’s hand is tied to the bar,'” said Mr. Mursuli. “If you didn’t want to work hard, you could go.” But, he added, Mr. Gamonet was also generous: “I can’t tell you how many times he has helped dancers who have no money.”

In 2000, Mr. Gamonet’s position with the Miami City Ballet was eliminated. From 2004 to 2009 he ran his own company in Miami, Ballet Gamonet. At the Ballet Nacional del Peru, he revived his earlier works and created new ones, including a full-length “Romeo and Juliet” in 2019.

On March 3rd Today’s show Host Jimmy Fallon was joined by Elizabeth Olsen (aka Wanda herself) for a parody sketch of the popular Marvel series. The duo took time travel and attended iterations of past late night shows, but Olsen’s superpowers tingled – she knew something was wrong.

Olsen took on a Monica Rambeau-like role on the sketch, telling Fallon to “stop” and pretend he had an audience during the pandemic. “I know the present is scary and we all want COVID to be over, but you can’t just run away from your problems,” she said. “Snap out, this is not the reality. I know that you are trying to deal with it, I know that, but you can no longer control it all.” Fallon denies he’s in control (sounds familiar?)
